Saint Penny Recipe Rotation

This is simply the best sangria.


  • 3 thin slices of lemon
  • 1 bottle red wine (a Zinfandel or Rioja would work nicely, but really anything you like to drink is fine)
  • 1/2 apple, chopped
  • 1/2 orange, chopped
  • 3T sugar
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup brandy
  • Splash Cointreau
  • 3/4c orange juice


  1. Muddle lemon, apple, orange, and sugar together in the bottom of a large pitcher
  2. Add brandy, Cointreau, and orange juice
  3. Add wine and mix well
  4. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving
